Các tác giả sử dụng phương pháp mô tả có so sánh giữa khu khai thác mỏ mangan (Mn) và vùng không có sự khai thác về sự tồn lưu Mn và những biến đổi huyết học của dân chúng sống xung quanh khu vực đó. Kết quả cho thấy trong máu người dân sống quanh vùng có nồng độ Mn trong máu cao thì đồng thời cũng thấy có sự nghịch đảo công thức bạch cầu, rõ rệt nhất là chỉ số lympho tăng cao, còn bạch cầu đa nhân trung tính giảm thấp rõ rệt. Người dân sống quanh vùng khai thác có thể có sự thấm nhiễm Mn do sự xâm nhập Mn trong môi trường vào cơ thể một cách từ từ hàng ngày. Vì thế cần có sự quan tâm chăm sóc sức khoẻ cho bộ phận dân chúng chịu tác động của sự ô nhiễm môi trường này.

 Abstract

In this study, a descriptive epidemiological method was used to compare the storage of manganese (Mn) in blood and haematological changes of people living in adjacent areas to Mn mine (group A) and of those living in area without Mn exploitation (group B). The results revealed that the concen- tration of Mn in group A was higher and at the same time, there was a reverse in white blood cell count, reflecting in the increased percentage of lymphocytes and the significant neutrophilopenia. People in group A can suffer from the gradual infiltration of Mn from the environment into the body. Therefore, health care for these people should be taken to minimize that effect of polluted environment caused by Mn exploitation.
