Delegation of Vietnam Public Health Association (VPHA) led by Prof. Le Vu Anh, Standing Vice President attended and delivered the presentation on "Reforming the health system to address health inequity in Vietnam". The report has received much attention of the participants.

In the morning of December the 18th, parallel to the satellite conferences, the annual meeting of the members of the Western Pacific regional World Federation of Public Health Associations(WFPHA) was held with the participation of the member associations from Korea, Japan, China, Indonesia, Vietnam and some other associations including the Indian Public Health Association, Malaysian Public Health Association. President of WFPHA, Prof. Ulrich Lasser announced on 13th Congress of the Association will be held in 2012 in Ethiopia. Chairman of the China Preventive Medicine, Regional Coordinator, summarized the activities of regional associations which emphasized the need to exchange information and experience among the members. He also highly appreciated the VPHA’s commitment and quality of information shared with members through monthly e-newsletter. Prof. Ulrich Lasser also recommends member associations to strengthen links for implementation of common programs to confirm the role of the Public Health Associations in care and health promotion. He also noted that the Public Health program would be only succeed if there was a fair and effective cooperation between the state (through the Ministry of Health), the research institutions and Public Health professional associations.

The 4^th Western Pacific regional Public Health Conference is expected to be held in Vietnam in 2013.
