On July 12-13, 2010, in Hue City, the Vietnam Public Health Association (VPHA) organized a training workshop in collaboration with Hue Medical Center.  The subject of the workshop was “Management of enhancing implementation of smoke-free policy through Vietnam Public Health Association network program.”

 This workshop followed a previous session entitled "Strengthening the implementation of smoke-free policy through the Vietnam Public Health Association network," which was held in July 2009 in Hanoi. The objective of the workshop was to evaluate the program’s results as well as review and draw experience from the process of implementing the program after one year in six provinces: Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Ha Tinh, Hue, Khanh Hoa and Dong Thap. In addition, the workshop also presented the results of public polls on the implementation of Decision No 1315/QD/TTg, provided updated information, and enhanced skills for officials of the six provinces implementing the program.

After the workshop, the participants have more knowledge and information to better continue the program in their provinces.
