| The first Congress of Binh Dinh Public Health Association: “Towards the development of public health in Vietnam.” |

On 11/5, in Quy Nhon, the Binh Dinh Public Health Association (PHA) held its 1st Congress with the participation of 130 members and 80 participants from Vietnam Public Health Association (VPHA), 10 PPHAs and local departments. The Congress elected the Executive Board including 21 members. MA. Le Quang Hung, Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Health Services was elected as chairman. The Congress proposed five action plans with specific targets for public health professional development, integration with the PPHAs and region. At the meeting, delegates also had positive opinions to complete the charter and other operations in the next 5 year term. Prof. Le Vu Anh - Standing Vice Chairman VPHA - on behalf of the VPHA’s Executive Board, has congratulated the foundation of the Binh Dinh PPHA. He believes that, with its potential, the Binh Dinh PHA completely can make a breakthrough development, integration with the other PPHAs of the VPHA’s network . The success of the 1st congress is a platform for Binh Dinh PHA to gather and promote itsstrength, taking advantage of the resources for development, strengthening preventive health capacity, public health, and to contribute to the health sector’s efforts to improve health for communities in the province of Binh Dinh. |
